Baby Reid – Boise Newborn Photographer

I’m excited to show this session.

.

This little guy decided to make his appearance 6 weeks early! We decided that it would be best for the little guy to wait until 4 weeks to try for newborn photos. He wasn’t having the individual photos because he wanted to be with mom or day – which is okay! So we changed our plan and decided to go for a 100% lifestyle shoot.

.

I used to do only 100% lifestyle and moved over into a mix of lifestyle and posed shots. I forgot how much I loved the 100% lifestyle shots. Especially when I have a house with as much light as these guys had.

.

With the short amount of happy baby we had we opted for a follow-up session for a month later and I’m so glad we did!

At the bottom of the post you’ll see their video!

And now their video….

Updates! Boise Photographer

Hey everyone! Sorry for my absence. Though it’s technically the season that I’m shooting less, I’m still keeping myself busy. Lots of brides and weddings happening this summer! If you’re hoping to get in, definitely get ahold of me now, as I only book 2 weddings per month and I’m getting close to that!

.

What else is new? I’m excited to be attending WPPI in a week. It is a big photography conference that takes place in Vegas. I’ve never been able to attend because it has clashed with my class schedule. Now that I’m done with school I’m able to go! I’m so excited to bring back lots of new ideas to share with you guys in your sessions this year.

.

Okay enough jabber – here’s what I’ve been working on since I blogged last!

.

Adorable couple expecting a sweet baby girl in a couple weeks!

.

Babies being born!! I photographed two this week.

This sweet lady who arrived a few days ago

.

And some fun shooting for me. These first couple shots are from a stylized shoot a few local photographers put together for fun.  It was an amazing day so why waste it??

.

A couple days ago my amazingly talented photographer friend Annie Brown-Garner with Let it Shine Photography came over and we played with light. She was my model and I was hers. Great day to practice some fun studio lighting. She’s absolutely gorgeous!

I AM Still Alive! Boise Idaho Photographer

Yes, it has been waaaay too long since the last blog and it is totally out of character for me. Lots of stuff going on and I’m super excited about new things to come for next year.

.

What has been up lately? Lots of shooting and shipping products out! Oh yeah, and LOTS of babies being born. YAY. Super fun. Here is a peek of what I’ve been up to since I blogged last, and hopefully I’ll be able to update more frequently starting this week. I have lots of fun stuff to share in the upcoming weeks.

.

Did I mention babies?

.

.

Right, and more babies!

.

.

Yep, MORE babies!!

.

.

And big sister announcements….

.

.

Last but not least, adorable families.

.

And if I haven’t made this post long enough, here is a song I’ve been jamming on the last couple days. It’s stuck in my head right now.

Alert and Awake! Boise Idaho Newborn Photographer

Occasionally I’ll get a newborn that gives me a run for my money. Usually it is because they are over 2 weeks old and are aware of their surroundings. This little guy had me stumped, he was at a great weight and age for newborn photos but refused to fall asleep! I even tried all my best tricks.

This was the first shot of the day where he briefly fell asleep.

.

Then we discovered that he really liked being propped up, instead of every other pose that we tried.

.

.

Sometimes these little guys have a mind of their own, even when they are only 2 weeks old :)

Mr. Sock Monkey Turns One! – Boise Child and Family Photographer

One of my favorite parts about this job is getting to see my little clients turn into big clients! It seems like it wasn’t very long ago that I was trying to get this little guy to go to sleep so we can get some great sleepy newborn shots of him. Now he’s one!
