These guys are on the blog a lot. Mom loves capturing pictures of her cute little family often and I love seeing their family grow. In the summer we photographed their maternity and a couple sessions after that. I’m going to show my favorites from this family of the last 10 months or so.
These are two of my favorite people. I couldn’t have been more thrilled when Mattea finally made her appearance. Heather and Vince have the perfect house for an lifestyle session. Tons of natural light and lots of white! I really enjoyed capturing this important part of their lives. Shhh…. Mattea is already crawling. I should hopefully have her 6-month session blogged soon

I’ve had a lot of people come up to me and say, “we need to get our family photos taken with you, but I want to lose a few pounds first” or “my kids are 10 and 15 and we’ve never had a family photo taken together”. Several years go by and a session was still not scheduled. This always makes me sad because time goes by SO fast and next thing you know, 5-10 years has passed and some of those memories will slip away.

I was recently going through a bunch of the old video clips I made last year during photo sessions and decided to put a little video together as a reminder of how important it is to capture those milestones in your life. Life changes and moves so fast.

This little guy was the smallest newborn I’ve photographed in a while. I forgot how little they can be sometimes! He was a little stud and slept for us the entire time. We couldn’t have asked for a better little guy. Here are a few of my favorites.
It has been a little while since I’ve photographed a sweet little newborn so I was excited when I got the email saying this little guy was born. He is so much different than his high-energy brother. He slept the entire time, but don’t worry, his adorable big brother kept me busy.
It was great photographing this happy family.
I had a blast photographing this family. This little 3-year-old had 5x the energy I had and I am a little jealous! He definitely kept me on my toes. All the while his little brother slept so peaceful and made my job way too easy.

This little guy decided to make his appearance 6 weeks early! We decided that it would be best for the little guy to wait until 4 weeks to try for newborn photos. He wasn’t having the individual photos because he wanted to be with mom or day – which is okay! So we changed our plan and decided to go for a 100% lifestyle shoot.

I used to do only 100% lifestyle and moved over into a mix of lifestyle and posed shots. I forgot how much I loved the 100% lifestyle shots. Especially when I have a house with as much light as these guys had.

With the short amount of happy baby we had we opted for a follow-up session for a month later and I’m so glad we did!

Hey everyone! Sorry for my absence. Though it’s technically the season that I’m shooting less, I’m still keeping myself busy. Lots of brides and weddings happening this summer! If you’re hoping to get in, definitely get ahold of me now, as I only book 2 weddings per month and I’m getting close to that!

What else is new? I’m excited to be attending WPPI in a week. It is a big photography conference that takes place in Vegas. I’ve never been able to attend because it has clashed with my class schedule. Now that I’m done with school I’m able to go! I’m so excited to bring back lots of new ideas to share with you guys in your sessions this year.

A couple days ago my amazingly talented photographer friend Annie Brown-Garner with Let it Shine Photography came over and we played with light. She was my model and I was hers. Great day to practice some fun studio lighting. She’s absolutely gorgeous!
It’s always so fun to see my clients grow and this little lady is no exception.
