Rockin it in the Fall – Idaho Photographer

Boy oh boy was it a crazy week and weekend! I have so much to share with you, but I’ll keep it short for now!

.

Early in the week I finished editing these two sessions!

Firebird Raceway Halloween Classic

.

On Wednesday I hung out with my sister and her family while capturing some fun family photos too.

.

.

On Friday I was privileged enough to hang with some rad photographers. One of the photographers snagged up a couple models and we had our way with them! I thought I grabbed more group shots but looks like I was too excited about this gorgeous couple!

Sometimes you have to think out of the box to get a great shot ;) . Thanks to Jamie Hudson Photography for capturing this hilarious picture of me being my weird self.

.

.

Last but definitely not least, I spent the weekend with some amazingly beautiful women during my Boudoir Mini-Sessions.

I’ll have more photos to share soon!

Last Photography Class of the Year – September 18th – Boise Photographer

Due to popular demand I will be offering ONE more photography basics class before the end of the year. Since I like to do them outdoors, late September is really our last chance.

.

September 18, 2011 from 10am-12pm.

—————

Class will be 2 hours, at Capitol Park across the street from the Capitol Building. It is a very non-formal, picnic style class.

.

I’ve aimed it toward those who want to learn how to use their DSLR cameras, but it’s not restricted to that. In each class we can tweak the material depending on what everyone wants. Here’s a basic description of the course:

.

This course is for those who want to step out of the box and really learn how to use their expensive cameras. The first hour  will be basic photography terms, camera functions, and how to use your camera in manual.

.

The second hour will focus on composition and a little bit of technique. The class can take a different direction depending on the level of skill the participants are. Participants will receive a packet with all information learned in class.

.

These classes are for beginners and those who have never taken their camera out of manual. This is not a class for budding professionals who are wanting to learn how to run a business. I’m aiming toward those who have a fancy shmancy camera but have no idea how to use it.

.

Price $50 each. You will sign up directly through Paypal. Once your information is received I will send you a form to fill out to give me additional information about what you would like to get out of the class.

.

I also accept credit card via the phone if you prefer to sign up that way. (208) 695-7182

Mini-Courses are Back – For Real This Time

A few months ago I launched a post that was advertising some mini-courses to learn to use your DSLR camera. After some discussion I decided to push them out a little into the fall since the summer was a little crazy for everyone.

Well we are back in business and there’s no canceling this time (well, unless there is less than 5 people signed up ;) ). I’m also partnered up with Meridian Parks and Recreation so they are handling the sign-up and we’ll be using their facility.

Here is the breakdown.

———

Each session will be 2 days, 2 hours each. So it is a total of 4 hours of class. The classes are on Sundays in the early afternoon and are spaced out a little bit. I’ve aimed it toward moms who want to learn how to use their cameras and take better photos of their kids, but it’s not restricted to that. In each class we can tweak the material depending on what everyone wants. Here’s a basic description of the course:

Learn to Use your DSLR Mini Course – Boise Photographer

First I want to apologize about the awful formatting this post is about to have. I am trying to figure it out. It has something to do with the code.

______________________________________________________________________

By popular demand – I’ve finally decided to open my schedule to teaching little mini course to help you learn how to use your DSLR camera.

__________________

Who this course is for:

Anyone who is too scared to pull their DSLR out of auto mode!

__________________

Who this course is not for:

Pro photogs

Film users

Point and shoot users

This will be a 2-hour course.

We will start off with a basic structure learning basic terms and what they’re used for. From there we will open up the floor for general questions and help. I will come around and help you get comfortable with your camera.

This class will mostly be technical. If successful, I might open another one up to help with technique and “seeing”. You will also go home with a packet with all of the information we discussed in class.

Where: Meridian/Boise, ID

When: July 17th

First class will be from 9:00am – 11:00am but is also flexible depending on the choice of the group. Second class could potentially be later.

Price: $40

I will only be accepting 10 people per class, as I want to keep it small for better learning. If more than 10 people sign up, I will open another class up for the following day (July 18th). I will need at least 5 people to sign up in order to do a second class.
