I’m in love with this photo. There’s something about a daddy daughter photo that always gets me.

It’s 11:30pm and I almost missed my post for today. I’ve been really good about posting every single day since I started my “blog every single day for a year” project. I don’t have anything really interesting, but I will share another newborn photo with you.
Mom wanted the classic shot of their rings on the baby’s feet. Well, this little one was awake and feisty so it was a hard shot for us to get. We were able to capture 2 of them and they weren’t too classic but still unique.
I love how both of her little toes made it in this ring.

Here’s my other favorite of the ring shots. I also chose black and white because I don’t show much of it anymore. I used to love only black and white but I’m really starting to love full color.

In the next couple weeks you will be seeing lots more of these types of photos. All the babies are arriving!

I keep showing snippets of this session because I just love the way that these ones turned out. Here’s one more. Then when I’m finished I’ll wrap it up.
PS. I’m sure you are all tired of seeing bellies by now, but ANY day now all these babies are supposed to be born. Except this one, she has to wait until June.
PPS (or is it PSS? – Who cares?) This is 100% all natural light. The black background is her shadow.

This post has nothing to do with this photo… but a little bit it does.
I just recently ordered a monitor calibrator. It had never really crossed my mind until after doing some prints I noticed a variation in my photos on the screen vs my photos in print. It wasn’t a big difference, but I started to become paranoid that my photos are going to be way off from what they should be. I was also worried that it would get worse and suddenly I would be over compensating my editing when I didn’t need to.
So this week I received my monitor calibrator. I was happy to see that my monitor wasn’t off too much, but was still off. There will still be a difference from computer to computer, but that’s something I can’t really control. Another variable will be where my clients decide to get their prints done. If they are going to a place that doesn’t specialize in professional printing, they’ll notice a difference as well.
So this photo was edited with a calibrated monitor and I’m confident of my prints now.

This young lady might look a little familiar….

That is because she is my sister. We did maternity photos yesterday and I loved this photo so much I had to share it immediately. More to come.
I’ve been showing a few little sneak peeks of this session and now is the full sneak peek.
Inside her belly is two little girls. I’m super excited for these ladies to make their appearance. So without making you wait much longer, here are a few of my favorites from this session.

LOVE the expression on his face.

These guys were troopers. You wouldn’t know but it was SOOOO cold outside.

FAVORITE!! Canvas? I think so!

I told him to grab her belly like he’d grab a basketball. And so he did.
