Longboarding Cameraman – Boise Photographer

I have been meaning to share this photo a while ago. So maybe a month back I saw a tweet come across Twitter with the KTRV news station looking for people participating in the Ironman Boise race. I, being the awesome wife that I am, volunteered my husband. He wasn’t thrilled that I volunteered him but afterwards said it was pretty fun. The reporter came out to our house and had an idea of my husband riding his bike while the reporter taped on his longboard so he could stay with my husband on the bike (hopefully that makes sense). I was trying to discretely take pictures up in  my office. Only one really turned out but it ended up being kind of fun.

Weekend in Colorado – Boise Idaho Photographer

I had an awesome weekend in Colorado with my husband for a friend’s wedding. This one I was a guest and not a photographer!

.

The wedding was in Denver but my husband and I decided that it would be fun to hang out in Boulder for a night (which I am now wishing it was two nights). My favorite part of Boulder, besides being walking distance to everything, was the awesome hike we did before we left. Thank you self timer!

And my favorite shot of the entire hike…

Brattle Book Shop in Boston – Boise Idaho Photographer

I’m terrible at posting travel photos on the blog. Today I decided dig and find a photo I haven’t posted yet. This is from October when we made a trip to the east coast. It was, in fact, the first time I’d ever been.

.

This one was taken in downtown Boston. I think it was near their Chinatown but I could be wrong. I thought it was awesome that they had books displayed outside.

Sometimes It Happens – Boise Family Photographer

I hope and pray that this doesn’t end up on one of those websites where they make fun of photographers! I actually love this family photo. We were doing the candid thing and decided to try to grab a quick family photo just so they could have one. This little lady was having fun doing her own thing and was pretty upset we wanted to take a quick break. I really try and try not to let any of my little clients get to this point, but sometimes it happens! I’m not going to lie, if this was my photo session I would TOTALLY have this one printed and hanging in my house – but that’s just my personality :)

.

I hope this brightens your Friday!

Bikes and Graffiti – Boise Photographer

I haven’t shared many vacation photos because I’m still in the process of editing. Today I felt like sharing a couple from Amsterdam. If you’ve ever been there, you know how crazy the bicycle situation is. If you haven’t, let’s just say that there are bikes EVERYWHERE. I can’t even explain how many there are. Picture lots of bikes, and then multiply it by 300.

.

We were walking around after everyone was home from work. The sidewalks were so full of parked bikes that you almost couldn’t walk on them. If I didn’t shoot this shot with a super wide aperture you would be able to see better, but this pile of parked bikes gives you an idea.

Photo Albums, Photo Books and Accordions – Boise Photographer

In preparation for the Meridian Urban Market I decided to freshen up my product samples and ordered some new stuff. Most of the stuff is just normal prints and canvas, but I also ordered a few printed books as well. Here are some of the products I’ll be sharing at the market.

… and my favorite – the Leather Top Photo Album

These have the hard, lay-flat pages.

I opted for the Art Watercolor paper. I think it’s a nice paper but for my next sample album I think I’ll stick with the standard paper.
