Paddle Out Cancer Event – Boise Photographer

I’m not usually one to post events on my blog but since I am photographing this one and it looks super fun I thought I would.

It is basically a fun Boise River Float with a fun catch because it is also a poker run. It costs $20 per adult and $10 for kids but there are lots of fun prizes and giveaways for those who participate. There are prizes for first and second place as well as the best costume.

Beyond it just being a fun event, all the money gained goes toward River Discovery. It is an organization that provides free rafting adventures to teen and adult cancer survivors to help with the healing process.

A friend of mine is trying to get her float-tube decked out for the costume contest, I think she has a pretty good chance of winning! Don’t get caught just hanging out on the beach, get out there! I will take your picture!

Tada!!! Logo reveal – Boise Idaho Photographer

HI! So I talked about my rebranding stuff a couple months ago. I’ve finally got a new logo! My logo has changed every year for the last 3 years but that is because this can be a working process. I loved my logo before but I have grown out of it and finally figured out exactly what I wanted.

You ready?

It’s not a ton different but just a small enough adjustment to make it perfect. I opted for using my handwriting instead of a stock font. I noticed lots of other photographers had the same font for their logo. I also decided to take out the tree. Though a tree has been part of my brand I felt like it started to distract away from the actual logo. I wanted simple and discrete.

I have an alternative graphic I can use when I don’t want to put the entire logo on something. It’s a variation of my T and K from my handwriting. This will be used for my Facebook square graphic and for the little favicon icon that will go in the address bar when you visit my website.

My migration process will be slow. I’ll get all the web stuff switched over but my packaging stuff will take a while because I still have tons of CD cases that have the old logo on it

Anyway, I just thought I’d share!

Cinco de Mayo Photo Booth – Boise Photographer

I mentioned a few posts back that I would be doing a photo booth for the Meridian Urban Market – which was last night. It turned out to be a GREAT day. Perfect weather!!

I’m still organizing the photos but I thought I’d share one. AND since I know Allison won’t care, I’m showing hers.

But because I’m a nice friend and don’t want to throw my friends under the bus, I’ll share the one my husband took of me as well.

Busy Bee or Fish? Boise Idaho Photographer

I know that sounds really weird. I said fish because it’s been raining like crazy around here so there’s not been any bees in sight.

Anyway, back to my blog. So I’ve been slacking again lately but that’s because I’ve been preparing for the Meridian Urban Market, where I will be hosting a Photobooth a couple Thursdays a month. I’ve been getting lots of stuff together for that. You know, backdrops, props, signage…. that sort of thing.

I’m super excited because I will have lots of product to show too. I’d been holding off to order stuff because I just didn’t quite know what I wanted to share. Now that I’ve had this little kick in the bum I did it. I’ll have photos of my booth once it’s happened.
