These guys are on the blog a lot. Mom loves capturing pictures of her cute little family often and I love seeing their family grow. In the summer we photographed their maternity and a couple sessions after that. I’m going to show my favorites from this family of the last 10 months or so.
I met this family through another family that I photographed often. They were so laid back and were down for anything!

We started our morning with a fun little bike ride. These guys are so active that I wanted to capture part of their current lifestyle. We wandered around the park to get a few shots. From there, we decided to take a little walk on the greenbelt and into the park.

It’s crazy how fast time goes by. It seemed like I just photographed this family the other day but it was actually three years ago. Do you remember this shot from 2010?
Well, this is her now! So big!
AND she’s a big sister!
To make it more fun, I recreated the first shot with her baby brother because I thought it would be a cool comparison.
While we are at it, a shot of the whole fam.

I’ve had a lot of people come up to me and say, “we need to get our family photos taken with you, but I want to lose a few pounds first” or “my kids are 10 and 15 and we’ve never had a family photo taken together”. Several years go by and a session was still not scheduled. This always makes me sad because time goes by SO fast and next thing you know, 5-10 years has passed and some of those memories will slip away.

I was recently going through a bunch of the old video clips I made last year during photo sessions and decided to put a little video together as a reminder of how important it is to capture those milestones in your life. Life changes and moves so fast.

Here are a couple of my favorite shots from a session this summer. This little lady is always so fun to play with, she never fails to make me giggle.
This little bear has been a part of her life since she was a baby. It’ll be fun to see how she outgrows it.
Since I was little it has always been easy for me to connect with kids. You can ask any one of my relatives. I was the cousin carrying around the younger cousin. I also think this is what makes being a child and family photographer come so easy for me. The other day I was photographing a family and the 2-year-old decided she wanted to play with me instead of getting her photo taken. I was able to snap this shot really fast because it made me laugh.

Little moments like these also remind me why I love doing this job.
It has been a little while since I’ve photographed a sweet little newborn so I was excited when I got the email saying this little guy was born. He is so much different than his high-energy brother. He slept the entire time, but don’t worry, his adorable big brother kept me busy.
It was great photographing this happy family.
Every member of this family has a cute little dimple – even mom and dad. Aside from being eaten alive by mosquitos, I had so much fun during this session. We had perfect light and an adorable little family.
Not only was this a fun family to photograph, but it is also my family! My aunt was in town for my cousin’s graduation so she got all of her family together for a fun photo session! Such a blast.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. This little lady decided she wanted to earn her keep and be my photo helper during her photo session.
