Free Photos! Boise Idaho Photographer

Around this time of year, usually when I’m looking out the window at the rain, I decide I need to kick off spring with a giveaway. I am doing another photo contest but with a twist.

.

Since I discovered Instagram (a cell phone taking and editing software) I’ve been obsessed. Taking cell phone photos has never been this fun. Here are a few recent ones.

Okay… okay… I’ll get to the contest!

.

This contest is going to be a photo contest. However, all photos submitted MUST be taken with a cell phone. No pro photos, no point and shoot photos.

Belize! Idaho Photographer

I’m back! I know I didn’t really tell you that I was leaving but that was on purpose :)

.

Happy to report that I have a tan, quite a few mosquito bites, and refreshed. We decided to take a little vacation to Belize for my husband’s 30th birthday. It was so amazing.

.

We stayed for 6 nights and had the opportunity to hang on the beach, bike into a tiny little village several times, zipline, hike up to a waterfall in the jungle, come across growling monkeys that were actually super nice, and check out several Mayan Ruin sites along the Guatemalan border.

.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the trip.

Tada!!! Logo reveal – Boise Idaho Photographer

HI! So I talked about my rebranding stuff a couple months ago. I’ve finally got a new logo! My logo has changed every year for the last 3 years but that is because this can be a working process. I loved my logo before but I have grown out of it and finally figured out exactly what I wanted.

.

You ready?

.

.

It’s not a ton different but just a small enough adjustment to make it perfect. I opted for using my handwriting instead of a stock font. I noticed lots of other photographers had the same font for their logo. I also decided to take out the tree. Though a tree has been part of my brand I felt like it started to distract away from the actual logo. I wanted simple and discrete.

.

I have an alternative graphic I can use when I don’t want to put the entire logo on something. It’s a variation of my T and K from my handwriting. This will be used for my Facebook square graphic and for the little favicon icon that will go in the address bar when you visit my website.

.

My migration process will be slow. I’ll get all the web stuff switched over but my packaging stuff will take a while because I still have tons of CD cases that have the old logo on it :)

.

Anyway, I just thought I’d share!

.

Also HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to Heather Carlson for designing this logo for me. She has done my last 2 logos and is amazing.
