Another boudoir experience for those who are on the fence about it. I’m running a special in the next couple weeks!
——————————————————————————-
Boudoir photographs have always intrigued me, and when Tamara posted last year that she was going to be offering mini-sessions, I knew that I should sign up. I was very nervous, and spent several days trying to decide if I should have the photos taken or not. Finally, I decided that I should just do it. A) I knew Tamara was extremely talented, and the pictures would be good, and B) it was the perfect way for me to get out of my comfort zone. Something I had resolved to do in 2011. I spent some time looking at Tamara’s boudoir portfolio, and other photographer’s portfolios, trying to decide how I wanted to look in my session. The weekend before my session I went shopping for some new lingerie, and was getting excited for my session. The morning of my session, I was pretty nervous, and was nervous when I arrived at the hotel. Even though Tamara had taken pictures of me and my husband before, this was different. I’m not a shy or overly modest woman in general, but normally I dont pose for cameras in my underwear (or less)! Tamara was the consumate professional, and since we get along well, my nerves were soon assuaged. By the time my session was over, I wished that I hadn’t only had a mini-session, but a full length one. I couldn’t wait to see the pictures! The pictures turned out great, and were everything that I had hoped for. I was so excited to give my mini-book to my husband, because he had NO idea, and because having pictures like this taken, and then printed in a book, was so out of character for me.As a plus size woman, I could have easily decided that boudoir photos are not for me, and let my own internal fears hold me back. I am so glad that I had them taken, and hope to have another session done in the future.
