The awesome thing about living in Idaho is we have the ability to visit beautiful places within a 2 hour drive. Since my weekends are jam packed for the next couple months I thought that this weekend was a perfect opportunity to skip town for the night and head over to McCall, Idaho.
I think it must be the office season because we literally had the town to ourselves. It was a nice and inexpensive trip that made the weekend feel so much longer.
We totally lucked out with this session yesterday. 60 degree weather and overcast skies. Not even 5 minutes after the session ended it started to rain.
This little lady was sooooo happy! She gave me lots of big smiles throughout the whole session.
…. and then at the end of the session she was pooped!
Though we’ve had crazy weather this last couple weeks, I can’t help but be super excited about the spring. The weather is getting warmer and the sun is visiting. Happy Friday!

In preparing for my newest European adventure I decided to poke through some of the photos from my last trip to Europe. I had edited a bunch of photos and shared them via Facebook and sporadically throughout the blog, but realized there were still lots of cool ones I never shared. Since I don’t have the time for a full blown photo share I thought I’d grab one of the “never before seen” photos. Okay it’s not going to be anything special but still fun.
I believe this is called the Columbus Statue.
I’m still having a hard time narrowing down the exact equipment I want to bring for this vacation. Last time I stuck with just one lens but in the last 2 years I’ve become spoiled. I also think I’m going to bring a tilt shift lens. Any suggestions?
Here’s another session from the fall. We had been dodging some rain for a couple weeks so we ended up having to split this senior session into two. I’m really glad we opted for the second day because we had beautiful sun.
Most of you saw the final product of our photo contest entry. What you didn’t see was all the hilarious photos before that one. I’m always a fan of showing blooper shots because I love to laugh. And we were laughing SO hard while doing these.

I was sorting through the pictures of my niece I took a week ago and found this one. In the middle of trying to get her to smile she decided to lay like this. I probably think it’s super adorable because she’s my niece – but whatever.
I’m not going to lie, I had a hard time not posting another YouTube video of a baby laughing. They’ve been floating around Facebook and they’re irresistible.
Instead I’m leaving you with family time. The amazing thing is through the entire session B was full of energy and running around. As soon as we busted out the books her attention was drawn there and she had no desire to run around, just to listen intently. I love to watch little kids during story time.
