I loved the balloons for this session which was mom’s idea. I’ve seen it before but have never done it (though I’ve always wanted to). You can never go wrong with red!

Some people might not think of this photo as one you would consider a “keep” image. I loved it so much that I had to keep it in. It’s so real. She was upset that it was so cold, and mom was there to comfort her.

What do you think? Would you want this one left in your photo session?
I couldn’t contain myself when it came to sneak peeks for this particular session. I fell in love when I saw this next image – I had to share. I chose black and white because it was more dramatic. This photo was taken in their living room.
Then the second one is a shot I posted to Facebook earlier in the week.

I’ve said in several recent posts, we’ve had a lot of snow lately. It’s also way earlier so I never get to shoot in it (Boise usually gets snow AFTER the holiday season so holiday photos hardly have snow). The last three sessions have been in the snow and it’s been a nice little treat.

As I said before, I normally don’t share bloopers unless they’re really funny and not embarrassing. Which brings me to my next photo.
We had a snowball fight at the end of our photo shoot so I knew there were going to be some fun ones out of the bunch. I came across this one and thought it was funny. Very much a close call!

Swoon.

He really wanted to play with all the kids who were sledding…and apparently eat them?

Okay I don’t get a snow day but everyone in the valley does. I can’t remember the last time it snowed this much, and it’s still coming! Here are a couple iPhone shots from this morning.
