Coming this week, little Tristyn.

Coming this week, little Tristyn.

Here is the wrap up from this post.
Crazy how fast time has gone. I’ve been showcasing a couple of these pictures in random posts, but here are some of my favorites.
Starting with a classical Christmas card photo.

I must say, these guys have the best natural light in their kitchen. We used it when we did newborn photos and again I use it here. It’s absolutely perfect.

This could quite possibly look like a jail photo

It’s always fun to see families grow. Back in December 2008 I photographed this family for the first time and it was a total blast.
Now, Addi is much bigger and they have another on the way. Maternity and newborn session are currently scheduled and I can’t wait. I also showed a small preview from this shoot here but now you get the real deal.
So our original plan was to take some photos of Addi jumping on the bed. When I walked in the door I immediately found this. It’s a HUGE window and Julie has put photos behind it. The awesome thing about this, 7 of the 12 photos have been taken by me

She kept telling me, “smell….smell”

This one is one of my favorites!

Remember this suitcase, I have a story about it.

I also must add that Julie is the prop lady. I kept picking their house apart saying, “we should take that, and that and that….”. The funny thing about this prop is there is actually a vacuum inside. It’s pretty heavy but is totally vintage.

This was probably our coldest session this year. Poor guys had to pretend it was warm. After going back to the car for an outfit change I remembered that I had some hand warmers in the car. Boy oh boy did those come in handy for the little guys. They couldn’t keep their hands out of their pockets after that!
Here are some of my favorites.

Remember what I said about the hand warmers? In his pockets here!

This family loves the Lakers. I bet you couldn’t tell?

I loved the light here.

Tell me if you can tell the difference.
Smiling Faces

Cool guy faces.

Dad slipped this one in on me. It turned out so cute I had to keep it.

I’m a little behind on blogging, but better now than never right? I’m going to show you more fun textured photos for this one.
Here are some fun photos from this session. Jeff had scoped out the perfect spots. It was nice shooting somewhere new.
This is Jack trying to look inside my camera and see me

This shot is one of my favorites. I love the realness (yes it’s a word that I created just now) of the shot.

This is another one of my favorites. I think I’ve used it on a previous post.

Dad having some fun!

Crazy little smile!

Love this! I think this would make a perfect canvas print to hang in the house.

Dad having some fun on the playground.

And Jack doing the same!

Okay so I didn’t have a kid, but I’m excited to announce that I bought another lens to join the family of lenses (whom will be treated as part of the family). Okay so I don’t have that many super fancy lenses yet either. But this will be my second L series lens that I feel is essential to wedding photography.
I’ve been borrowing one for the last two wedding seasons and finally decided to buy my own.
Now I’m just saving for a super wide and a macro and I’ll be done with lenses (for a while).

I’m a little behind as I’ve had a gazillion name frames to finish before the holidays. I still have honeymoon photos to show you and a couple last minute family photo sessions.
Hang tight! I’ll be back soon I promise.
Ashlyn just hit 6 months old. I’m sure alot of you will recognize her through this blog as I’ve photographed her parents through their engagement, wedding, pregnancy and birth. I would normally link to all of the different sessions, but I’ll do that once I post more from this session.
I’m not a mom, but I have enough experience (and love) with children to appreciate this photo. Which is why I decided to keep it in the session cuts. My post from Sunday is the same little munchkin.
See this pose, she wants to crawl SOOOO bad.

Okay I’ve been a slacker in the blogging department this last week but I promise I have some good ones to come this week.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this next photo (more also coming soon). I decided to leave the drool in because it’s so cute.

I just thought I’d share this photo really quick because I love it. The flair is all real, no photo effects. Cool huh?

More soon…
