Families! Mattravers Family – Boise Idaho Children Photographer

Although this family has already seen their photos, I’ve decided to share the rest with you. One random day in November we were dusted with snow overnight. Needless to say it didn’t stick, but was nice to have a holiday feel for these photos. Here are my favorites.

We had a lot of fun with the umbrella. You’ll see it throughout the rest of the shoot.

Best bribing tool on a cold day? Gigantic lollipops. This was the best way to keep the kids motivated to keep going.

To Texture or Not to Texture – Boise Idaho Lifestyle Photographer

Lately I’ve been experimenting with textures and I’m in LOVE with them. It seems my clients are starting to like them as well. I started off with giving several different options in one shot (one being a textured and one being normal).

I’m using heavy texture for more abstract photos such as this one.

And I’m using less texture for closeups.

My clients are picking the textured over the normal in most cases. Here is an example of normal vs textured.

Sassy! H’s Boudior – Boise Idaho Boudoir Photographer

Yay. I’m excited to finally be able to show you these. I’ve had these waiting for a couple weeks now but we couldn’t show much until H. was able to give her husband his birthday gift. We didn’t want to ruin the surprise. Here are some of my favorites from her boudoir session. She purchased some cute outfits at Pinup Girl Clothing just for the occasion.

Heather is a graphic design artist so she was excited about the idea of me using lots of textures to make these pictures a little saucier.

This one kinda reminds me of an iPod commercial. One of my favorites.

Absolute favorite! I love how she looks like she’s about to grab whatever comes into her reach.

Another favorite.

Remember this chair?

One more favorite!

Bomshel – Boise Idaho Lifestyle Photographer

The last couple months I’ve mentioned my friend Nicole regarding being diagnosed with breast cancer. I’ve posted family photos in previous posts and others regarding the benefit we did in order to raise money to help with the financial burden of cancer.

Through her whole journey, there has been a certain song that has really been the theme. It truly describes her and her experience. The song I’m talking about is called Fight Like a Girl by Bomshel.

It just so happens that these guys were in Boise last night. About a week ago, one of Nicole’s good friends contacted her to say that she could get her tickets to the concert. Not only did she get Nicole a ticket, she was able to get a total of 8 tickets thus making it an official girl’s night out.

KIZN, the radio station hosting the event, gave Nicole VIP treatment. We had our own table and Nicole got the opportunity to meet the group backstage! Nicole has all the awesome photos so I’ll have to wait until I see them from her to post some more.

This one was one that the radio station took while I was getting my cd signed. It was exciting to find this photo on the site today.

Another exciting event of the night was when Bomshel decided to dedicate the song to Nicole!

Here’s a video of the song. Very touching.

These guys are absolutely amazing performers and I would highly recommend their album.

Engaged! Amy & Thoren – Boise Idaho Wedding Photographer

Meet Amy and Thoren.

I actually went to high school with Amy, so it was nice to hear from her with the exciting news that she was getting married. These two are getting married next June.

Both were a lot of fun and were willing to do almost anything I asked.

This was one of the last few nice days that we’ve had in Boise.

I love this photo because I had accidently over exposed it. I was able to recover and come up with a fun and artsy shot.

These next 2 shots are my absolute favorite out of the bunch. Amy is just so photogenic!
